Diflucan Capsule is used to treat yeast infections, such as vaginal thrush. It helps to spread and cure infections such as colds and upper respiratory infections.
Directions
Adults 18 years of age and older: 1 capsule three times a day with or without food. See your doctor. If you have an upper respiratory infection, you may take 1 capsule (25 milliliters) three times a day. Lower your normal dosage and take 1 capsule (3 milliliters) once a day. Swallow the capsule with a glass of water. Avoid acid or alcohol in taking the capsules. You may have to take them with a heavy meal. You should take it at the same time each day (but not more than once a day, at a time). Do not crush or chew the capsules. Leave the capsules in the mouth or with the vagina for 30 minutes. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking the capsule. The capsules will begin to work when the vagina is empty. It is not advisable to change partners after taking the capsules unless directed by your doctor. This medication may cause vaginal bleeding or yeast infections.Adolescents only:
Diflucan Capsule is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Contains propylene glycol, butylated hydroxytoluene, and sodium lauryl sulfate.
Side Effects
Side effects that have been reported with 1 capsule (3 milliliters) of Diflucan cream may be as many as�an allergic reactions and as a result, symptoms may be more likely to occur in children and adolescents. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Precautions
Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have asthma, if you have a history of asthma or other breathing problems, if you have ever had blood thinners such as warfarin, phenylketonuria (a condition in which the body takes too much of xanthine derivatives (such as fluconazole (XR: 48%)), if you are on aspirin, if you are taking any other blood thinning medication (e.g. warfarin, aspirin or ibuprofen), if you have ever had an allergic reaction to fluconazole, if you are taking any other type of medication for fungal or yeast infections, if you have liver problems, if you are taking any other type of medicine, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have any of the following symptoms: a sudden decrease or loss in hearing, if you experience any of the above-mentioned symptoms, get up out of bed, or stand up slowly, take the medicine 1 time each day, do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking the capsule. It is not recommended to have a vaginal or oral sex with a woman who has had a vaginal or oral infection. This medication may cause vaginal bleeding or an upset stomach. If any of these symptoms occur, tell your doctor.
During treatment, if any of these side effects occur, tell your doctor. If you are taking other medicines, especially any medicines, tell your doctor or pharmacist. This includes medical advice or direction of your doctor or health care professional if you are suffering from any disease or condition, especially if you use any contraceptive method. The most common side effects of Diflucan cream are headache, dizziness, flushing, tiredness, nausea and vomiting. If any serious side effects occur, notify your doctor promptly. Do not use Diflucan to treat any other complaints.

Nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects.
